Dual materiality analysis - understanding how your company interacts with the world

Dual materiality - impact, risks and opportunities

A double materiality assessment (DMA) is a requirement for virtually all listed companies as CSRD comes into force. The purpose of the assessment is to identify the company's impacts, risks and opportunities from two different perspectives: material impact and financial materiality. Material impact is about how the company affects its environment, while financial materiality relates to how a changing environment in turn can affect the company in terms of risks and opportunities. We help you project manage and implement a double materiality analysis that creates value and facilitates your reporting.

Understand the context

As part of CSRD, companies are expected to be aware of and understand the context in which they operate. This is not only about understanding their own business model, but also about understanding how their business fits into a wider context. CSRD emphasizes the importance of including the company's entire value chain in the analysis and maintaining an open dialogue with relevant stakeholders. Through fact-based analysis, we clarify the company's material impacts, risks and opportunities, which are presented in the sustainability report. As experts in sustainability communication, we help you both to plan and carry out the analysis and to communicate the outcome in connection with the reporting.
